About Example Shops
Edited by Ryan, founder.
Example Shops is a free directory of example shops across Australia. Listings start from public business data and are checked before they go live, so you can see opening hours, services and reviews in one place.
On each listing you will find a Google rating and review count, opening hours with an open now status, a phone number, website link, address and map, the services on offer, review-based badges and short review snippets.
Who runs this directory
Example Shops is published by Lovell Digital Properties Pty Ltd, based in Adelaide, South Australia. The directory is edited by Ryan, the founder.
If you have a question about a listing or about the site, use the contact form rather than looking for a personal email address.
How listings are sourced
Listings start from public Google Business Profile data. Each one is checked before it is published, and corrected if details change.
Badges and review snippets are drawn from public customer reviews, not from anything a business submits directly. See the editorial policy for how this works in detail.
How we use AI
Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic, helps draft listing summaries from real source data: reviews, business websites where one exists, and Google Business Profile details.
The editorial judgements, including which badges apply and whether a listing is on topic, are made by people, not generated automatically.
For business owners
Claiming your listing and correcting your details is free, always. If something about your example shop is wrong or out of date, get in touch and it will be fixed.
Paid plans are also available if you want a Verified badge and control of your listing. These add a clearly labelled sponsored placement on your suburb page, never a change to your rating or position in the normal results. See advertise with us and view plans for details.
